JAPAN MORIAGE DRAGON WARE TEA SET CREAMER SUGAR SAKE DECANTER CUPS SAUCERS ETC.

Description

This listing is for an 18-piece set of moriage Dragon Ware made in Japan:
5 teacups. These stand 2" tall and are 2 1/2" in diameter. These cups have the Geisha girl lithopane in the bottom - only seen when they are held up to the light. (See photo). One cup has a small glancing chip on the rim.
6 saucers. These measure 4 1/2" in diameter.
1 creamer.
1 sugar bowl with 1 lid.
1 incense pot (no lid). Stands about 2 1/4" high at the highest point (tips of the handles).
1 singing saki decanter. I've tested it, and it really does whistle! (Not when you are pouring, but when you STOP pouring and tilt the decanter back upright). No chips or cracks, but there are a couple of small areas where the black finish has been damaged.
1 teapot with 1 lid. Sadly, at some point in its life, a chunk of the handle was broken out and then reglued back in. It holds firm and can still be used, but I can't guarantee that it won't fail at some point. With its lid on, this pot stands about 7 1/4" tall.

Some of these pieces are not marked at all. The rest are simply stamped "Made in Japan" in red ink. The exception is the incense pot, which has a gold and black sticker on the bottom that reads
PCDG Japan.
