    Description

Antique Meiji Japanese Tea Cup and Saucer Set, Porcelain
This set has been in the family for years. I do not know the time period of these saucers and teacups. I am also not an expert in Japanese porcelain or signatures. From what I have been able to research, these appear to be Yokohama Imamura Meiji Nippon.
Each saucer and cup are beautifully hand painted, and they have been kept in great condition. You can see the birds in flight in all of the designs and inside the cups. The teacups feel like eggshell porcelain. They are extremely fragile. Again, I am not an expert. Note the detail on the handle in one of the photos.
The saucers are 12 cm. in diameter. There are 8 in the set.
The diameter of the bottom of the tea cups are 4 cm. in diameter and they stand about just under 6 cm. tall. There are 6 in the set.
The last photo shows a hairline crack in one of the cups.
Each saucer and cup has a signature on the bottom. They have been kept carefully stored away over the years.
Thanks for checking out this stunning set!
